President Obama Banking on Dodd
Nov7Tonight president Barack Obama will appear at a $1,000-per person fundraising event for Senator Dodd in Stamford, Connecticut.
Embattled Senate Banking Committee Chairman Christopher Dodd (D-Ct.), whose low approval ratings make him one of the most vulnerable Democrats seeking re-election next year, gets help from President Obama tonight.
Obama will appear at a $1,000-per person fundraising event for Dodd in Stamford.
Dodd is crucial to Obama’s hopes for getting the overhaul of the regulation of financial services passed. The House Financial Services Committee is currently marking up the measure. Yesterday it approved the component that would create a Consumer Financial Protection Agency.
Senator Dodd is one of the most vulnerable Senators running for re-election next year, with low poll numbers resulting from his involvement in the Housing & Banking collapse to getting favorable treatment from mortgage giant Countrywide under the friends of angelo program Dodd is in a for a huge uphill climb.
“Sen. Dodd’s botched oversight of the Banking and Housing Committee, influenced by millions of dollars in lobbyist and financial services industry campaign donations, led to the greatest economic calamity of our lifetime,” former Rep. Rob Simmons (R-Conn.) said Wednesday.

There is enough databases online for a factual expose’ to be pulled together and posted where others can copy and paste into their own blogs and web pages. Cyperspace is the battle ground and there are enough sources readily available on the Internet for those who want to do more than just express their disgust. This is War and we have to use our brains, time, and typing fingers as our weapons to destroy.
