Bill Owens takes NY23

Nov4

In a stunning turn of events, Democrat Bill Owens narrowly defeated Doug Hoffman in the wild race for the 23rd congressional district of New York.

Doug Hoffman, who’s chances were derailed by a lackadaisical Republican Party and an establishment backed liberal opponent running as a Republican, is said to be contacting Owens to concede.

73wire.com is proud to have been able to follow the NY23 race, and we’ll be back at it in 2010 as the next round unfolds.

Congratulations are in order for Bill Owens, the next Congressman for NY23.

Sorry, Blake, but I doubt there are 4,000 or so of them.
