Breaking news: DeDe has dropped out of the race here in the NY-23. A source close to the Hoffman campaign confirms to 73wire.com that DeDe Scozzafava has bowed out of the race. According to reports she got very emotional while addressing her supporters and thanking them for their support. Stay tuned to 73wire for more details and audio of Dede addressing supporters.

From the Watertown Daily Times

Dede Scozzafava, the Republican and Independence parties candidate, announced Saturday that she is suspending her campaign for the 23rd Congressional District and releasing all her supporters.

The state Assemblywoman has not thrown her support to either Doug Hoffman, the Conservative Party candidate, or Bill Owens, the Democratic candidate.

“Today, I again seek to act for the good of our community,” Ms. Scozzafava wrote in a letter to friends and supporters. “It is increasingly clear that pressure is mounting on many of my supporters to shift their support. Consequently, I hereby release those individuals who have endorsed and supported my campaign to transfer their support as they see fit to do so. I am and have always been a proud Republican. It is my hope that with my actions today, my party will emerge stronger and our district and our nation can take an important step towards restoring the enduring strength and economic prosperity that has defined us for generations.”

The new Siena poll has Owens at 36%, Hoffman at 35% and the DeDe at 20%

The race for the 23rd Congressional District is too close to call between Democrat Bill Owens (36 percent) and Conservative Doug Hoffman (35 percent) heading into the final days of the campaign. Republican Assembly member Dede Scozzafava has dropped to 20 percent, with nine percent of voters still undecided, according to a new Siena (College) Research Institute poll of likely voters.

This is VERY INSPIRING NEWS! By networking through our different groups and WORKING TOGETHER we WILL make a difference. I sent money to Hoffman, prayed for him, and made a call to friends that happen to live in 23. This is proof that we can help, where ever we live. We’re very happy to hear this news in Las Vegas, and happy to have GOD on our side.

Can you imagine what the stock market and the public will do if the health care bill fails next week. i really fell like you will see head lines in the newspaper the next morning where people are dancing in the streets and the middle class of this country has been saved. it will bring consumer confidence up to a level that we have not seen for some time. Americans will see that the constitution will work and the people will feel like they have had a victory and start spending cause all the hard work by the groups to protect our constitution from disgrace. you will see confidence rise

This is great news. The GOP has shifted to the dark side and is acting in a behavior that does not represent the best interest of the country. The GOP has betrayed their base and lacked the moral character they once stood for. I hope that this is a wake up call to the GOP and Blue Dog Dems to return to protecting all the people and not just the interests of the so called protected classes while on the march to Marxism. We are a free and blessed country. It will take an awakening of the people to rise up against the tide of tyranny to protect our grand childrens and their grand childrens future. Looks like the people are beginning to stir in the face of a corrupt and self destructive political system that requires a strong shift in direction. Let the elections begin. The people are now awake to deception that has been upon them.

Great news! However, A wise man once said: “It ain’t over, till its over”! Only the folks in NY23 can vote! We of the TPP gave them the opportunity for an even race. The rest is up to them! Go TPP!
