Yes, we said DESTROY!

Fellow Patriots,

Let’s not sugar coat what is happening in Washington. To be direct and clear, GovCare in its current form will literally turn America around and spin us out of the free country we were once known as.

Not only is the current argument all wrong, as we pointed out at TaxDayTeaParty.com, it’s completely unAmerican!

Let’s go over some bullet points of what this monstrosity will do.

• Extreme Government Growth – The legislation will add a whopping 16,500 NEW IRS agents to the government payroll. According to the Washington Examiner, the new government positions are needed to “examine and audit new tax information mandated on families and small businesses.”
• Stiff Penalties – The thugs in Washington insult us by pitching the bill as providing less harsh penalties for refusing to opt in to the program. Instead of the $750 fine previously proposed, they were nice enough to drop that down to about $695. Also worth noting is that many who refuse the mandate will pay up to 2.5% of their annual income as a part of the fine.
• Constitution Shredded – House Republicans proposed a resolution that would force Democrats to follow the rule of law and force a vote on GoveCare. Democrats shot down the resolution 222-203. This suggests that more than half of Congress no longer believes the Constitution should guide their decisions.

We could go on for a while on this, as the bill is loaded with anti-American, anti-liberty language, but right now we wish to put out a final call to try and stop the push to get the bill passed this weekend.

There are several things you can do to help.

1) Make phone calls, send emails and faxes to your reps. If your local tea party group is protesting his/her office, get plugged in and be a part of it.

2) Consider joining the “Take the Townhalls to DC” Campaign if you can get to Washington this month. Click here for details.

3) Join the Patriot Caucus! We’re getting ready to launch a major nationwide initiative aimed at defeating at least 31 incumbents, potentially many more in 2010.

A huge thanks is in order to all of you who have been calling and rallying over this past few weeks. We’re getting big reports of patriots stepping up to the plate and it’s very rewarding to be fighting alongside each of you.
