Tea Party of Nevada: Real Third Party, or False Flag?

I’ve seen several articles today and have read some comments about the formation of the Tea Party of Nevada and their intention to run an unknown against struggling Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid.

As others have noted, there isn’t a great deal of information online about the group or its principles… but there is enough to start wondering whether the group is remotely serious, or just a bunch of cutups.

You need look not further than Barry Levinson to know that the group is a farce. Levinson, former attorney for John Wayne Bobbitt is the Secretary of the organization, and holds a seemingly bizarre pedigree for a Tea Party patriot. According to his own blog, Levinson is a disgruntled Obama supporter:

GOP Challengers Target Democrats’ ‘War on Coal’

Two West Virginia races are representative of the battle. One challenger, looking to go up against longtime Rep. Nick Rahall, put it bluntly. “If you’re against me, you’re voting against your job and against mining coal,” he tells Politico. A Democratic official complains that the incumbents actually protect the industry, advocating coal to fellow party members “who may not have warm and fuzzy feelings” about it, but the opposition isn’t listening. A hopeful challenger in another race says the issue plays now because Republicans can also run against “Obama and his very liberal, very aggressive social agenda.”

Industry Study: Dems Cost US $2.36 Trillion in Oil Money

In 2009 Democrats scrapped oil and gas leases in Utah, permanently banned drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR), and nixed offshore drilling.

For decades Democrats have blocked efforts to responsibly develop this nation’s energy resources, transforming vast areas of opportunity into “The No Zone.”

A new study was released recently that examined the cost of these democratic policies of not drilling and developing domestic oil reserves. The SAIC Corporation discovered that democrats will cost the US $2.36 Trillion through 2029.
