We Are Coming After You

Nov9

Michael Steel will be coming to Michigan Friday, 13 November, to speak to the Republican Party.  The Ottawa County GOP says Steele is scheduled to speak at its Nov. 12 luncheon in Holland, MI.   Steele faces a tough road to align the GOP to a power that will be able to win elections in 2010.

As USA TODAY’s Kathy Kiely reported

the conservative Club for Growth is airing ads attacking Gov. Charlie Crist , R-Fla., for supporting President Obama’s stimulus package.

Steele said he understands the Tea Party protesters and the GOP walks with them.

“I don’t need you to identify as a Republican,” Steele said. “I need you to identify as a conservative. We are the conservative party.”

Conservative activists have rebelled by outting Republican Debe Scozzafava as a Liberal Democrat more in line with Pelosi and Obama then with the GOP, during New York’s 23rd District race.  Though grassroot supported candidate, Doug Hoffman, was defeated by a Democrat opponent, many in the Tea Party and Liberty movements consider it a victory as they rejected Progressivsim from within.  Steele has admitted that the process to select candidates is flawed and has stated to ABC News that the party will punish candidates that support Obama and Pelosi policies.

Only time will tell if conservative activists have had enough of GOP and Democrats in general or if they will forgive the GOP.
